TAKE ME BACK TUESDAY - Vintage Embroidery - well, I got to looking at some embroidery yesterday after I posted about a current designer Liz Payne. And it started to TAKE ME BACK to my Grandma's house! Haha, her embroidered dish towels, napkins, hankies, tablecloths. I remember bright little flowers, fun figures, birds....very happy accents to crisp, white linens!

OH MY Monday! Liz Payne Embroidery - her work makes me want to do some stitching! I did a little bit of cross stitching as a child and remember really enjoying it. The dimension she adds to her simple shapes with beads and different types of stitches is just fascinating....and don't even get me started on her color palettes! Wow, I now know I could spot her style of embroidery out of a crowd and any artist strives for a chance to stand out like that! Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorge
THURSDAY TREND - TOP 8 DREAM BOARD - I'm doing something a bit different this week! After moving into our new house I have a few "dreams" and these are the top 8 changes/additions I have in mind.... TAKE ME BACK Tuesday - Schumacher! We just moved into a new home and I unpacked my two Schumacher pillows that are covered in their Chiang Mai dragon fabric - an all time favorite of mine....it inspired me to do a TAKE ME BACK Tuesday on Schumacher in general. I seriously salivate when I look at any and all Schumacher textiles and wall coverings.The color palettes, the combinations of abstracts and florals within their collections are extremely inspiring.....just SO classy! OH MY Monday.....I guess maybe it's because the Pantone 2017 color of the year is "greenery" and that St. Patrick's Day is our next holiday.....but I am smitten with green right now! (we actually painted our master bedroom walls this deep green once when we lived in a small beach house in Monterey CA, it had fabulous white window trim and large white wood beams on the ceiling; really made that white POP)
