watermelon wishes.

Several weeks ago I posted about a logo I was working on for a client. My task was to produce an illustration consisting of dandelions using the colors black and pink....simple yet striking, my favorite! The client was Andrea Chapman of Watermelon Wishes in Middleburg, VA. "Watermelon Wishes is a Main Street Artisan Collaboration featuring handmade products which are designed and produced by independent makers." Meanwhile, the back of the shop is affecitonately known as a "working studio". "The 7 West Washington Street locaion is unique in that Andrea uses the back of the studio to create her custom bag designs and the front as a nontraditional retail space." You see Andrea needs a studio like that because she also has a very successful Etsy shop!

Back to the design challenge......as you may recall I sent several for her to choose from....

SOOOOOOOOOO, which one did she choose????

And of course I needed to take the design to repeat so she could have some custom Watermelon Wishes fabric!

Andrea and I have collaborated before as well. She got down to business with some of my designs on "Eco Canvas" fabric from Spoonflower and the "7 West Collection" was born.....custom fabric on a design that is her own. LOVE IT!

Here's hoping to some future collaborations as I think we work pretty well together dont ya think?
